Giving Wildlife a Voice Through Art

Becci Crowe Event

Birdzilla staff Artist Becci Crowe ventures from the jungles of the Congo with Dr. Jane Goodall to SubArtic Manitoba and Polar Bear dens. Becci Crowe, a notable Wildlife Artist and Signature Member of Artists for Conservation describes her art as “a reflection of my fascination with nature and all things wild”.  As an Artist active in conservation it’s as important for Becci to be in the field as it is in her studio. Networking with conservationists from all over the world Becci recently joined legendary primatologist Dr. Jane Goodall in the Republic of Congo returning with a new understanding of the challenges to this wild place. Crowe personally presented her Congo Art Series to Dr. Goodall where it helps raise awareness through the work of the Jane Goodall Institute.

But the Congo was not her only destination in recent months.  On the ground in a highly restricted area inside Wapusk National Park in northern Manitoba, Becci had the unique opportunity to witness and photograph young Polar Bear cubs coming out of their den and exploring the world for the first time. In celebration of Earth Day Becci has been invited to premier her art as well as photo and video highlights from both these adventures on April 23rd at the Karshner Museum in Puyallup, WA.
