Hawaii Birding Resources

The avifauna of Hawaii is a mix of introduced and native species. Introduced species, such as the Common Mynah, often being the most common or visible. Several native species are extinct and many others are highly threatened.

Each island also has its own unique mixture of species.

Perhaps the best source of information on birding in Hawaii is the Hawaiian Audubon Society. Their web site includes information on tour companies and guides as well as information on good birding locations on five of the Hawaiian Islands.
